Laura Appleby has practised exclusively in family law since 2015, assisting individuals and families to navigate separation, parenting, and property matters with clarity, confidence, and practical direction.

With experience across both family law and estate-related matters, Laura’s approach recognises that legal decisions made during periods of change can have long-term consequences for families, finances, and future planning.

Laura was raised by a single mother in regional New South Wales and understands first-hand the lasting impact family breakdown can have on financial security, relationships, and wellbeing.

She founded LJ Law to provide legal advice that is accessible, clear, and empowering, particularly for clients navigating periods of transition. LJ Law is built on the belief that informed clients are better positioned to make decisions that protect both their present circumstances and their future.

Laura is known for her ability to explain complex legal issues in a clear and practical way. She prioritises timely communication and ensures clients leave their first meeting feeling informed, supported, and confident about the next steps.

As a sole practitioner, Laura provides continuity of advice and a personalised approach, allowing clients to work directly with the lawyer handling their matter from start to finish.
